Posted by Event September 10, 2018 inLast weekend the VersusNG team did some travelling to do some gaming in Zaria the grand opening of Aunty’s Grill. Located opposite Ahmadu Bello University’s Kongo campus, the restaurant had everything it needed for a great event. Good food, lots of people and loads of games.
With a host of titles to play like Street Fighter V and Tekken 7, football fans stole the show once more with a double-elimination tournament in FIFA 18. The competition saw VersusNG’s dreaded champion Oginji return to his old stomping ground to take on eleven of Zaria’s finest. By this time, very few remembered his legend.

Unfortunately for the home players, Oginji relentlessly made his way to the top. Reaffirming his dominance, he earned the lion’s share of the ₦15,000 prize pool. However, honourable mentions go out to Harun, Dudu, and Abdul who all made it into the final leg of the competition. Yet, the real champion of the day was the chef with all the good food.
Aunty’s Grill Grand Reopening took place on September 8, 2018, from 10:00 am till 11:00 pm at #1 Old Jos Road, Zaria, Kaduna State. If you are ever in the area, give the food a try. You won’t be disappointed.
